B-29 Bombers To Return To AirVenture 2025

The two remaining flying Boeing B-29 Superfortresses will make their highly anticipated return to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2025, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) announced on February 5.

They are too valuable for mishap, not to mention the crew. Wish they would not do the night formation, or actually any formation. KISS.

Except for flying in a tight box in wartime, I can’t think of a time when flying in formation was cause for concern. For starters, no flak.

I am not sure why night formation is a good idea. The most impressive thing I have ever seen at Oshkosh was a Super Connie doing a low pass. I would rather see the B-29s do a low pass where I could get photos of them going by instead of some running lights.

The “night” air show starts while it is still light out. I expect they will flyover then - not when it is bitch black out.
