I had a power outage in my Cardinal 177A on final to Gary and ignored trying to restart because I knew I would make the runway. I restarted once landing. Does the Bonanza have more difficulty keeping the glide slope with loss of power? Or were they actually on a long straight in? Glad it all worked out.
This is a 67-year-old single-engine aircraft. Some people, not me, think “So what? It’s well-maintained, good as new.” I wouldn’t drive a 67-year-old car. At night, in bad weather, especially. Unless I had to.
