It's never too late in the year for barbecue, according to The Weekender's SocialFlight calendar. First stop is the Annual Wings and Wheels Fly-In at St. Tammany Regional Airport in Abita Springs/Covington, Louisiana. See classic cars, planes and a Civil Air Patrol search and rescue aircraft. Lunch will be served by Abita BBQ and includes your choice of pulled pork, brisket or smoked turkey legs.To find out what "Lexington Style" barbecue is all about, check out Saturday's annual Festival and Fly-In at Davidson County Airport in Lexington, North Carolina. The first five to fly in will get a Fly High Lexington T-shirt or hat. Arrivals the night before are welcome too. Special fuel prices will be in effect; those who take advantage will get a free shuttle ride to the festival.
