We just looked at SocialFlight and confirmed that AirVenture exhaustion is a myth-it's still summer and everything aviation is going strong-airshows, fly-in breakfasts and even a pig roast. The Pike's Peak Regional Airshow takes place on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9 and 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Colorado Springs, Colorado, Airport. Gates open at 8:00 a.m., and there will be over 40 WWII aircraft on display, educational hangar activities and the Red Tail Squadron Exhibit. The folks at Garner Field, Uvalde, Texas, are holding a fly-in breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:19 p.m. and invite everyone to stop in and enjoy South Texas hospitality at its finest. They welcome you to enjoy a hot meal, tour their collection of warbirds or just visit the town for some shopping.
