Rising fuel costs threaten the carrier’s bankruptcy exit, with liquidation now a possibility.
This situation goes back to the “market pricing” of fares instead of charging enough to cover costs. Obviously the business model Spirit follows doesn’t work. If they don’t change then good riddance! If the alleged pilot “shortage” is real, crews should have no problem finding work at other airlines.
