Great one, horse blinders come to mind but wouldn’t work for vertical view.

So true! I used to live in Atlanta and fly out of PDK, and it was really hard to spot at night, VFR. The fact that the ATL Bravo starts just south of the airport doesn’t help. It always helps to load in instrument approach, and fly to the final approach fix. Some GPSs also show extended runway centerlines, which can be a big help as well.
