Revamped Wright Visitor Center Opens Saturday

After nearly two years of renovation work and upgrades, the visitor center at the Wright Brothers Memorial National Park, at Kill Devil Hills in North Carolina, will reopen on Saturday. New interactive and educational exhibits tell the Wrights' story and provide opportunities for children to develop skills in science and engineering. The center's most popular feature—a meticulous reproduction of the 1903 Wright Flyer built by The Wright Experience—remains the centerpiece of the display. Renovation of the 9,900-square-foot building cost about $5.5 million.
