Poll: How Would You Describe The Raid On Iran? Poll: How Would You Describe The Raid On Iran? Spectacular success Regrettable but necessary Potentially problematic Foreign policy disaster
You should have an âAll of the aboveâ selection on this poll.
Long overdue! Past administrations appeasement or downright ignoring Iran hasnât worked.
Why is this poll on a web? Are you trying to bait us into a political discussion?
Past administrations involvement in other countriesâ affaires have been consistently disasterous.
I agree that something must be done about iran it shouldnât be a unilateral US decision (yes I see the irony re Gulf War 1.0). I do not understand how/why iranâs sponsorship & support of every ME terrorist organization. They ship oil, they ship weapons, they ship sophisticated missiles. Why arenât these shipments interdicted?!
How can we have an opinion if we donât have all the facts - specifically how much damage was done? Thatâs the problem with Americans. We voice strong opinions about things we donât know much about. As it is said about many of us, âThey may be wrong but theyâre never in doubt.â
Had already answered this poll once, apparently didnât register. Answered it differently this time.
To MWSlettenâs point, please pose it twice moreâŚ
Unspoken, the Iran religious order would just as well drop a missile on Rome as on Tel Aviv.
If you really want answers to âfactsâ you can spend a little effort on the worldwide sources of info.
I recommend John David Lewisâ book âNothing Less Than Victoryâ, which covers the push of Allies to get unconditional surrender from Nationalsozialistiche Germany and Imperial Shinto Japan in WWII. After eight decades both countries have peaceful productive societies, albeit for East Germany it too collapse of USSR.
Israel wants regime change in Iran, is promoting and facilitating that by statements to Iranians and elimination of repressive capability. Tricky, certainly many female Iranians experienced or were told by mothers and grandmothers of the relative freedom they had as the Shah relaxed practices.
Wonât really know without further investigation including:
- study of photos (one photo may have shown a subsidence crater)
- Israel investigates possibility the enriched uranium was spirited away before USâ bombing
People in US government and elsewhere are balthering prematurely on probability.
As are ideological enemies of Israel and US.
Agree totally. We all want to side with our teamâs initial assessments but we wonât know the true result for a while.
I would suggest not just Israel wants regime change in iran. iran is actively destabilizing the entire ME (and elsewhere) either directly or through their many proxies. They are religious facists.
True.
Arab countries are not speaking up, I sneer at Saudi Arabia especially. Egypt is a loss despite having made a treaty with Israel, as ISIS-related people influence it.
And now Syria doesnât want Israeli aircraft flying through its airspace, which was part of the route to northern Iran. To go around from the south takes more refuelling sessions from tankers, unless Saudi changes its mind.
Israel uses well-maintained 707-based tankers. KC-46s coming someday (perhaps this year).
