The fact that ANYONE would not check NOTAMs is disturbing. That’s how lives are lost.
Not checking NOTAMS could be grounds for having a licence pulled. That crosswind runway you hoped to use is unavailable due to maintenance, for example. The list goes on.
Living near DCA you check NOTAMS before you leave the house, let alone fly an airplane!
