The Cessna 680A had diverted from a flight to Austin before the accident on Loop 20.

Kudos to first responders who took significant personal risks to get the passengers out of this jet. It concerns me, however, to see first responders spending critical time attempting to break the windshield glass on a jet aircraft. There needs to be some outreach to fire departments, paramedics, and police that given the anti-bird-strike hardening of windscreens on this class of aircraft, this is basically impossible. Efforts at extracting passengers would be better directed at doors or the skin of the aircraft.
