That article is not correct. It was made public “Patriot” by the Trump administration, not the Obama Administration. Obama scrapped it.
Ed. Note: Read the story again. Obama did indeed scrap the original plan to upgrade the old fleet and initiated the plan, called to replace them with the S-92. The first aircraft were rolled out during Trump’s tenure.
You’re wrong. The author said the program was launched during Obama administration, not that Obama dubbed it Patriot or that it was made public during the Obama administration.

No. Apparently we don’t know who the author voted for, since the AvWeb blurb is a synopsis of an article by Stephen Losey of the Associated Press, which is not particularly known for injecting partisan politics into its reportage. You, otoh, did so quite blatantly with your ad hominem aside. We are barely a week back to having reader commentary and you are already threatening its continuation.

Why is there no way to flag posts like this or at least ignore this author? I’m tired of politics (and an apparent lack of grasp on reality) being injected into everything.

I remember (albeit while I was 10) flying into “the parking lot adjacent to the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago”. Meigs field was amazing for us western suburb dwellers!
That’s fine, except the author has shown himself both to be a liar and pushing an agenda. An “ignore” button ensures in 3 months, when I’ve long since forgotten his name, I don’t see a post from him and think, “what an inciteful comment” because he happened to hide his agenda or ignorance well that time.
To flag a post click on the ellipsis next to the Reply button. A menu that includes a flag will appear and when you click on the flag it gives you options, most of which result in a red flag showing up where I can see why you thought it should be flagged. Then I can edit the offending post, delete it or a few other things. What’s important to note is the system keeps track of flagged posts and repeat offenders become known within the community.
