New Jersey To Demolish Historic Hangars At Andover-Aeroflex Airport

Aeroflex-Andover Airport will remain open despite plans to demolish much of its historic hangar complex.

Pretty hard to run a business with no buildings. While they allege that the airport will remain open, it will only be for passersby and a few who tie down there. I think it’s clear that the State has no interest in continued support. My guess is it will be a slow death. Very sad.

First it was Elliot’s (Jump/Newton Airport), then after Pete (or Ernie) had issues, Trinca went by the wayside, now Aeroflex.
Sussex Airport’s parking spaces are virtually empty. I think my former partner still has our old C172 there, but it looked very lonely last time I checked on it.
I’m ALMOST glad I can’t PIC anymore, but Blairstown and the Runway Cafe keep me at least interested
