Recurring airport issues:

  1. Local politicians approve building an airport on the outskirts of town.
  2. Local politicians approve residential development of the land around the airport.
  3. People move into homes near an airport and then want local politicians to close the airport because of airplane noise.
  4. Local politicians take all of the federal “airport money” that they can get for their local airport, then close the airport.
    5 Repeat.
