NBAA and Citation Jet Pilots are questioning the agency’s decision and asking the FAA to release the data behind it.
It’s interesting that the FAA highlights two recent accidents where the pilot WASN’T properly SPE qualified as justification to kill the SPE program. Also, the policy was in effect for 42 years, but needs to be changed with zero notice? FAA needs to do better.
