My state (NC) has so-called leaders who are the biggest suckers for such grandiose projects. They have showered millions in hard-earned tax dollars to various questionable ventures that have spectacularly tanked. For instance Dell Computers, Cree / Wolfspeed, Vinfast EVs, Boom (maybe gone bust already) and now JetZero. If JetZero’s (old) design were so great, they would not need government funding or corporate welfare.
