Reminds me of Boom Supersonic:

  • new airliner design
  • had to make new engine to suit it, as established makers wouldn’t invest in better than they are making now

(Boom has cleverly packaged te new engine into an electricity generating module offering to AI data centre market, giving early operating experience with the engine,)
