Too little, too late, I’m afraid. Small comfort to the grieving families of last week’s accident victims.

Has the mayor of DC talked to Chicago ex-mayor Daley on how to bulldoze runways overnight?

Since Congress runs more of DC than the mayor does, I doubt Congresspersons and Senators would allow anyone the close or destroy their personal airport. Secret Service has wanted to shut down DCA for years and would do so now if Congress would allow it. Congresspersons and Senators are too lazy to go to Dulles to catch their flights home.

The secret service should not be allowed to meddle in FAA issues

Might want to start with VIP TFRs.
