FAA Plans Updated Unleaded Avgas Roadmap

The agency has not changed the 2030 target, though its deputy administrator described the current schedule as aggressive.

I thought the entire idea of PAFI and EAGLE was to avoid having airplane owners needing STC’s, placards, flight manual revisions, or logbook entries! If multiple STC’s for different fuel manufacturers end up being the solution, they have to be intermixable, or there will be crashes all over! And who is going to pay for multiple tanks to store different fuels? Most GA airport can’t afford more than one storage system for avgas.

The different fuels are not approved to mix with each other-they are only approved to mix with 100LL. How will this work in practice? Do I only refuel at certain airports?

Why would the agency (FAA) change the arbitrary 2030 date until they get there. It’s not a mandate so essentially it’s near meaningless.
