It’s just adding up all these things, the ballroom, the reflecting pool, in and on it goes. 5.5 million for the airport alone. Now double that and you will come close. The cost to all operators who have to change certificates etc. cost to faa personnel to make all these changes, oh, they are already grossly understaffed due to DOGE and other failed ventures. I fear for the country. I’m mad at ALL politicians forkett8ng stuff like this happen.
For all you Dems in the crowd and everyone else out there who just likes to shout, listen for a minute. This is not in any way without precedent. The International Airport in San Jose, CA was named after Norman Y. Mineta in 2001, a living (at the time) lifelong Democrat who had been the Mayor of San Jose, a U.S. Congressman, Secretary of Commerce, and Secretary of Transportation. Norman Mineta died in 2022, which does not make me happy, mainly because I am not a vindictive jerk. Incidentally, the Oakland, CA airport was renamed a few years ago from just ‘Oakland’ to ‘Oakland San Francisco Bay’ Airport. Names change occasionally and everything has to be redocumented. Obviously, both political parties have done this with living politicians, so just take a chill pill and stop going off the deep end.
Failed ventures? How is DOGE a “failed venture”? Shutting down 100’s of DIMM & GOP NGO’s saving 100’s of billions is a “failed venture”? Make that make sense! Whats wrong with cleaning up Obamas $34,000,000 reflecting pool reconstruction… and yet people like you are so jealous you probably encourage the people to destroy it … “just” becuase Trump fixed it! Let’s see here, Little Rock airport was renamed Bill and Hillary Clinton airport. Last time I checked both are still alive. Las Vegas renamed their airport Harry Reid airport when he was still alive at the time. Both cases the politicians named are Democrats. Last I checked it was the state governor in Florida who ordered the name and id change for West Palm Beach airport, not President Trump himself. Yea, the change is a pain in the behind, so is life, get over it!
Um, I think you are way off. Sorry but it’s how I feel. I’ve watched all this shit show unfold for the last 40 or so years in America. It isn’t just one political party. They are both to blame. This time around we just have more to deal with and so much more going on that is totally outlandish. I was not pointing to any party in my post, just stating how much all this is going to cost the country, when we can least afford it. As far as DOGE, I think you must have drunk the koolaid if you think it was a success. The cost to the country is probably not even able to be determined. Just my humble opinion.
