The FAA is reviewing whether a proposed 250-foot “triumphal arch” near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport could impact flight safety.
I think all class B airports are fairly “tightly controlled and complex”, and NYC airspace is much more worthy of this line.
This article (intentional or not) screams “shock value” and all I gathered was “Trump wants to build something RIGHT IN THE WAY OF DCA AIRPLANES!!!”
You said it at the end, its preliminary. Relax. If they need to change anything they will. Maybe the news is that someone is actually talking to the FAA to notify them of building something, unlike the people who build these invisible radio towers every year in the path of low alt military routes.

Another case of tRump stroking his teeny tiny … ego. This is more retarded than his ball room (I wonder if he knows that means dancing - bazinga) but not as stupid as his battleship idea!
As long as the Arch is sunken; so as not to create an aircraft traffic hazard; no one should be concerned. If actually above ground, it would be a not, not!! Being that close to airports. So the architects need to be given direction by the FAA, sunken structures only. And the public would likely prefer a sunken arch which can be seen without looking up!
