FAA Announces Charting Change to Gulf of America

The rest of the world calls their neighboring bodies whatever they want. Mexico is free to refer to the gulf as whatever they want.

Now I can’t wait for the weeping and gnashing of teeth when the US acquires Greenland and renames it Red-white-and-blue-land.

Why not just let’s ignore history and any practical considerations, since those seem unpopular lately. Whereas the Gulf of California is nowhere near California and actually surrounded by Mexico, I suggest we call that body The Gulf of Mexico and whereas the place at the end of the Mississippi river (which, starts, I think, in Minnesota) should be the Gulf of Minnesota. I can hear various objections revving up, but seriously, would this be any more absurd than what we are actually seeing here???

AJ, seriously? Free speech? They just shut down a news organization for sticking with Gulf of Mexico, like the rest of the planet.

You can’t really be serious?

Russ, you gonna stick with the newspeak or risk getting shut down? No real good options… (I do realize you don’t attend Whitehouse briefings, but just supposing…)

Name one news story on AP in the last 9 years that was unbiased toward Trump. AP is free to continue to be biased, but Trump does not have to extend privileges to them. It might be a little petty of him but he’s not controlling what they print. Simple.

“unbiased toward Trump” - meaning that the AP was consistently biased in his favor?

I’m with you but:

The Gulf of California (Gulf of Cortez) is bordered by four Mexican states:

  1. Baja California (to the northwest)
  2. Baja California Sur (to the south of Baja California) Cabo!!!
  3. Sonora (on the eastern shore)
  4. Sinaloa (further south along the eastern shore)

These states surround the AKA Sea of Cortez, with the Baja California Peninsula on the west and the mainland of Mexico on the east. Thus the name Gulf of California.

“AP is free to continue to be biased, but Trump does not have to extend privileges to them.” Well yes, he actually does. That’s what the 1st amendment says. He – as a government agent – can’t treat them differently because of what they write or say.

I’ll take my chances:)

“He – as a government agent – can’t treat them differently because of what they write or say.”

Whoa!
WHERE WERE YOU when the government censored and banned and deleted any online account because of what they wrote or said during the “covid crisis”? All this is is not inviting one reporter personal access to Air Force One or personal access to the white house. She still has remote access to watch the briefings and write what she wants. Treating differently is way different than outright censorship of the past administration. Just sayin’
