No “Light IFR”?
Lightning protection should be optional, like FIKI. Most small GA planes have no business flying anywhere near tall convection anyway, and installing lightning protection is terribly expensive, especially in composite airframes - and composites are the manufacturing tech that makes sense at low volume.
If ASTM turns out to be just a re-branded Part 23, it’s useless.
