The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) has announced the top five finalists for the Founder’s Innovation Prize Grand Championship, which will take place during AirVenture 2021 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The competition will feature top-ranked Innovation Prize contestants from 2016 through 2019, concentrating on how they have developed their ideas into “real world loss-of-control solutions.” Grand Championship finalists include Ed Wischmeyer with “The Expanded Envelope Exercises,” Colin Michael Foale and Ian Foale with “Solar Pilot Guard,” Ihab Awad with “Airball,” Ray Kwong with “Epic Optix” and Mike Vaccaro, Lenard Iszak, Cecil Jones, Bob Baggerman, Christopher Jones, Philip Starbuck, Vern Little and Brian Chesteen with “FlyONSPEED.”
