Jet A and 100LL prices reached new six-month highs in September.

It is interesting what is happening in the US about AVGAS prices.
UL 94 was listed at almost USD 7,70 per US Gallon. In Sweden (Europe) where we have energy taxes, CO2 taxes the Hjelmco AVGAS 91/96 UL (exceeds UL94 parameters) is priced lower than in the US.
Europe with fuel taxes has all over the time had higher AVGAS prices than the US. Something is happening in the US.

You are right, the normal avgas price difference between Sweden and the US has flipped. A huge fuel tax cut in Sweden combined with the US Adminstration’s energy policy and a war in Iran caused this situation.

Thank you Donald Trump.

Fuel prices are and have always been based on speculation, in that oil companies base prices not on what’s at the pump, and instead on oil that is still in the ground. It is no secret.

That’s why when someone in the oil producing countries fart, the price goes up overnight. Also, only a small amount of any one fuel from a barrel of oil goes into what we buy, X to auto, Y to aviation, Z to jet, A to lube, B to asphalt, C to other uses. The only part we see is at the cash register.
