McPherson served as a Navy fighter pilot.
The math doesn’t add up. If McPherson died 14 August 2025 at 103 years old, then he was born in 1921 or 1922, which would make him 20-21 years old in 1942, not 18 years old. If he was only 18 years old in 1942, then he dies at 101-102 years old.
Thus the curtain closes on another chapter of the Greatest Generation. RIP, sir. Does anyone know what Mr. McPherson’s rank was at the time he made Ace?
