The Weekender's SocialFlight events include a selection of Women of Aviation Worldwide Week gatherings that will run through the weekend. On Saturday,FlyQuest and Huntsville Executive Airport in Alabama will team up for a celebration of women's contributions to the aviation community. There will be lots of airplanes, plus food, speakers and activities.All this week and through the weekend, South Texas International Airport at Edinburg is hosting activities and free flight opportunities for girls and women of all ages as part of the Fly It Forward Challenge. Individuals and groups can learn about the history of women in aviation, find out what it takes to be a pilot and explore careers in aviation.
