Some people believe that Antarctica is in fact an ice wall around the flat earth keeping the oceans in. Depending on the exact nature of the delusion beyond it you either hit the firmament or can find unlimited new lands and untold riches.
Common to these belief systems is the notion that the Antarctic Treaty bans all civilians from visiting Antarctica and those that try are turned away at gunpoint, detained or even disappear. All to keep the secret and sustain the lie of a globe earth.

Sounds like a pretty cool trip. I would think it’s note worthy of he was just following a magenta line it’s sort of anti climatic, but if he wasn’t, that’s pretty cool.
