Dave and Jeanne Allen stopped by the Wautoma airport (KY50) west of KOSH every year before Airventure. We’d stash their Waco in a hangar to keep it clean and allow them to polish it before going to Oshkosh. They’d pay us back by helping out with the local EAA chapter 1331 pre-Airventure breakfast. GREAT couple and their airplane was a one of it’s kind glimpse into airplanes of yesteryear. Their demise in their beautiful Waco is tragic; they will be SORELY missed by many … RIP!
