One Dead In Nevada Midair

One person was killed and another injured following a midair collision between a Cessna 206 and Globe Swift at Minden-Tahoe Airport on Monday morning. Phases of flight were not immediately available but the 206, with just the pilot aboard, landed on the runway. The Swift crashed in a field.

Condolences and prayers for the family of the deceased pilot.

Your Supposed to be a reliable source for aviation news but you get
your facts wrong on both sad events at Minden Tahoe Airport.

Aug 20th had 1 fatality “Pilot” not two as you reported. Passenger
had very minor injuries and walked away. Also Aircraft not really
open cockpit, its total exposure. There were no other aircraft involved.

Yesterday Sept 16th there were two pilots in the C206 CAP Flight.
It was not a single pilot as you reported. No injuries to either pilot of
CAP Flight which landed safely. The Swift was not so lucky and the
single pilot was killed.

Pilots and other media sources look to AVweb for reliable information.
You have got to do better.

I’m curious as to why AvWeb didn’t mention a Civil Air Patrol C206 was involved in the midair. Why obscure the Air Force connection?

Likely because it was not yet know. This is an early and very limited report. The CAP flight was actually an instruction flight with two souls on board, though that is not mentioned here.
