AVweb's weekly sampling of what's new in aviation this week uncovered a kneeboard of uncommon versatility, a trade-up program from iFlightPlanner, a new line of aircraft circuit breaker lockouts and a talent search for a new, aviation-themed show. Helipad LLC has launched a new pilot kneeboarddesigned by helicopter pilots for helicopter pilots. "Although we specifically designed our kneeboards with the helicopter pilot in mind, any pilot who desires the ability to maintain hardcopy checklists or approach plates and an iPad or iPad Mini within a tightly spaced or open cockpit environment would benefit from using a Helipad Kneeboard," says Vince Bustillo, owner of Helipad LLC. Among other features, it improves the pilot's ability to reference checklists or approach plates without distraction caused by the remaining documents, usually left flapping in the wind with other kneeboards. In addition, the kneeboard is capable of holding an iPad or iPad Mini whether they are enclosed in a protective cover or not. Peerless Electronics is now distributing the full line of Master Lock Aviation Safety Products. The key/new featured products are aircraft circuit breaker lockout/ tagouts. The S2329 Master Lock aircraft circuit breaker lockout prevents accidentally re-energizing an electrical system by locking a circuit breaker in the "off" position. They assist in FAA and OSHA compliance for lockout/tagout (aircraft LOTO) systems. S2329'S universal fit accommodates long or short aircraft circuit breakers, with or without collars.
