JetBlue Haiti-New York Flight Also Struck By Gunfire

After reports of a Spirit Airlines flight being struck by gunfire, ABC News has reported that a JetBlue flight from Haiti to New York JFK International Airport was also hit by a bullet. JetBlue reported to ABC that on Monday,  a post-flight inspection revealed that Flight 935 from Port-au-Prince Airport (the same airport where the Spirit flight was struck) had also been struck by a bullet.

Haiti is a cesspool that outsiders like the government of Canada have not been able to help, to the extent they tried much. (There are quite a few Haitian ex-pats in Canada, such as a former Governor-General of Canada). Charities were helping but had to stop.

Haitians need foreign military help. But they’ll need to learn how to keep a society, voodooism of Haiti’s long history is not the way.

Next door, the Dominican Republic was stable, took care of the environment. Though a hurricane really hurt it.

What is the motivation of the evil people shooting at airplanes that bring help? Gangsters are usually after something though like violence for the sake of violence.

I just don’t think there are plane loads of people wanting to go to Haiti.I would bet these are US Government chartered planes going to Haiti empty and returning full of refuges, just like the ones going to South America, Africa, and other countries.

Haiti is a failed state with huge crime problems. It’s unfortunate the current administration is flying there to dump large groups of them into our towns. It’s a facet that has happened and likely still is. To be fair, are these groups who have legitimately requested asylum, or just bunches of non vetted persons? I don’t know.

The number of Haitians that were flown in is unverifiable, and this is NOT a Biden policy:
“There are actually several programs that allow migrants who may otherwise be ineligible for admission into the U.S. to fly to an American airport.
These programs exist as an option for such migrants to temporarily travel to or stay in the U.S. These programs are authorized by The Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and grant migrants “parole status.” Parole status allows DHS to temporarily admit people into the U.S. who would otherwise not be admitted in cases of “urgent humanitarian or significant public benefit,” U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) says. For example, after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the U.S. offered parole programs for Ukrainian citizens to travel to and enter the United States.”
