The only way to make the airspace completely safe over DC is to close DCA. The severe restrictions put on GA flights into DCA have pretty much already banned GA from DCA. So GA can’t be blamed for this accident. Too bad Congress is so hypocritical on “their personal airport”, otherwise the secret service would have closed down DCA right after 9/11.
