Denali Flight Testing Pushed To 2020 - AVweb

Well, the PC-12 NGX still has a 50+ year old design of an engine, and I’ve not read if they’ve gone to “push a button and sit back” starting, or whether the pilot still must monitor for hot/hung starts.
If the new Catalyst engine meets the efficiency targets, it should burn slightly less fuel than the PT6, while moving a slightly larger plane, and requiring less maintenance. Of course, Cessna may have to up the speed ante, as the Pilatus is now a 290 kt. cruiser.
