Interned with (and was soured on) NASA while in high school, spent about two years with Cessna prototyping a military jet (Scorpion), is now Aircraft Systems Lead with seven years of experience working intimately on the XB-1 (She was their tenth hire). She is also a pilot.
What is irrelevant about her credentials?
Are you put off by the fact that she actively promotes women in engineering?
Well, I thought that prominently including a helpful link to her impressive credentials would make my “obviously a DEI hire” comment, obviously sarcastic.
<sarcasm>Unfortunately;</sarcasm>, the linked article - entitled “Women in STEM: Erin Young” - focuses more on her STEM related efforts (for which I applaud her) than on her engineering credentials.
I’m sorry my link didn’t provide Erin’s complete curriculum-vita and resume RP; I just didn’t feel it was necessary for me to resurrect my LinkedIn account just for your edification.
While I appreciate the thought, I don’t quite see where my edification is necessary. Was I not sufficiently detailed in listing her accomplishments in my earlier reply?
[I agree with you on LinkedIn; I didn’t bother to resurrect my account either.]
