But I don’t mean that. What I was asking is do they actually do anything besides look out the window. Using the term mission to me implies some kind of function, testing or some kind of research. This just sounds like a joyride regardless of who is onboard.
I did a bit of research, and this crew is made up of exceptionally accomplished women, each bringing something unique to the table. Whether in science, media, or the arts, they’ve all worked hard to reach the top of their fields, and it’s inspiring to see them take part in this milestone:
- Lauren Sánchez – A licensed helicopter pilot and Emmy-winning journalist. She founded Black Ops Aviation, one of the first female-owned aerial production companies. Sánchez is also the vice-chair of the Bezos Earth Fund and has written a children’s picture book set to release in September.
- Gayle King – A veteran journalist and TV host, co-anchoring CBS Mornings. With decades of experience, she’s a trusted voice who has covered some of the world’s most important stories.
- Katy Perry – A Grammy-nominated pop star, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She’s not just a performer—she’s a businesswoman and humanitarian who has used her platform to support global causes.
- Amanda Nguyen – A bioastronautics scientist and civil rights activist who founded Rise, an organization that successfully fought for the Sexual Assault Survivors’ Bill of Rights. She’s also worked on space policy and was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
- Aisha Bowe – A former NASA rocket scientist turned entrepreneur. She’s dedicated her career to breaking barriers in STEM, founding STEMBoard to create more opportunities in science and engineering. Bowe will be the first Black woman to travel with Blue Origin.
- Kerianne Flynn – A film producer and executive with a talent for storytelling. She has worked on films like “This Changes Everything” and “Lilly,” highlighting women’s roles in various industries.
While I gather that this flight isn’t about research, it’s still meaningful. IMO, It celebrates women’s achievements across different industries, and it’s uplifting to see these talented, hard-working women take a step into space. Wishing them a safe and successful flight!
They also have a common thread amongst them - they are all DEI and Dem supporters…

And yet, despite the plausibility, each so incredibly accomplished to boot! Can such amalgamations continue to enthrall?
And a second for Slava Ukraini! When the MTG cretin asked Zelenskyy about his attire I thought Volodymyr was very restrained in holding back to not embarrass Elon with a comparison - even though one is actually disrespectful and one in solid reflection of wartime conflict.
That or he wanted to avoid a Python episode of lost limbs, blood, vomit and insanity when the two man/children would explode on the comparison. Very disciplined indeed, sir.
Wow, there sure are a lot of guys in this thread that hate women.
Should be fine as long as there are no curbs nearby
