I’ve been on Basic Med for three years. A physician friend suggested I make an appointment with his office and, since I had a minor problem that needed to be looked at, my insurance paid for the visit. Last time I visited my PCP, I asked her if she would do the Basic Med for me and, after explaining it to her, she said, “Sure!”. So, from now on, when I go in for an annual visit and it’s time for the Basic Med forms, I’ll take them along and have them checked off and signed.
