PWC has done well with advancing turbine engines for cost and reliability, recall what it did for the Cessna Mustang for example.
(Which rescued Eclipse from its poor management when it bloated its design beyond Williams’ ability or willingness to fund more thrust. Another case of very unrealistic weight estimates.)

Of course with much money from taxpayers of Quebec and Canada, whether directly or via dodges like buying land or setting up ‘research’ centres.
Helped by Bell helicopter company moving civilian production to Quebec, but hurt by gummints of Quebec and Canada - and their controlled entities like pension plans and banks - financing Bombardier’s C-Series production expansion which gave Boeing and opening to make a phoney trade complaint.
