Good reminder that gloves are off when in extremis…and wrong and alive is still better than dead and correct…for those who hold to the “better to die than to look bad”, there’s an often unquoted continuation…”but you can do both”

Splitting a hair for clarity on spins/landing gear…no disagreement that gear down can move CG (forward=good) or induce nose down pitch, but “slowing” seems a stretch given that by definition of spin you’re already stalled and if you’re not stalled you’re flying…if flying, roll wings level and pull!

You can’t break Federal Acquisitions Regulations in an aeroplane, at least not easily. Heck, it’s been 15 years since the old FARs were swallowed up by Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations. So you can break the regs, AKA 14 CFR 91.xx or whatever.
Pedantic? Maybe, but my day job involves certification, and using FAR for something other than Fuel/Air ratio, or the odd rare legacy reference, will get a document rejected.
