Yeah … and I’ll be sure and hop onto a pilotless airliner the FAA approved soon, too.

Every month of March on odd years A&P mechanics with an Inspection Authorization (IA) renew. Obviously the system wasn’t ready for this demand. If the system failure continues through March 31st is the FAA going to give extensions or just make all the IAs retest?
No surprise. Just like the NOTAM fiasco last month. I am sure that FAA is directing resources to useless equity and inclusion initiatives that is doesn’t have time to properly maintain its systems or is hiring inadequately experienced personnel based on things other than competence. After I watched the confirmation hearing for the proposed FAA Administrator it is clear the administration has other priorities than hiring or appointing people who know what they are doing to lead this agency. Be prepared for more meltdowns.
1 replyHe is busy: (a) blaming Orange Man for New Palestine; (b) being a good example of racial diversity of which he lectures us by moving to Traverse City, about as pasty white as it gets. But even if video footage appears of Pete slitting puppies’ throats, you will be placed on Double Secret Probation for criticizing him.
I wonder if the head of the FAA knows what this does…
Well, Steve, when I call the FAA to ask a question, the recording says they are currently just getting around to acting on inquiries received SIX MONTHS AGO. So maybe Jeffery has some valid points.
The FCC’s Universal Licensing System (ULS) might be worse.
Care to elaborate, or was that just a dog whistle for the homophobes?
… a legit question. The DOT is obviously a “rudderless craft”, with an administration hellbent on saturating the leadership ranks with inept, unqualified “actors.” From burst pipelines to near misses to derailments — things will only get worse from here.
