Seeing that picture with that headline and story, one phrase came to mind: Yellow Journalism. That picture was used purely to grab attention and, I think, is beneath the quality that I’ve come to expect.

Please don’t do that again.

Wonder what the odds are that the FAA fails to sign off on the investigation done by the CEO of SpaceX and the Nation?

CNN reports today that SpaceX’s Starlink will get an FAA contract to upgrade the IT networks the FAA uses to manage US airspace.

Too much kool-aid, eh, bobd? If you had listened during civics class in school you wouldn’t make such stupid statements.

I had the same impression but, don’t blame the AvWeb reporters. There’s so little to report anymore in Aviation. To create a story from nothing is just what an Aviation reporter has to do anymore or go broke.

Besides, how many chapter 11s can you report on before there’s no more bankruptcies left?

Seeing that picture with that headline . . .

Seems to me that latest prior launch shots - good or bad - are a natural, if you have to have a shot in the first place. And inasmuch as this launch will specifically have to address NASA’s concerns over what went wrong the last time, it would seem that that previous light show is newsworthy with respect to this story.

Maybe Elon could invite his buddy Donald for a ride on the Star Ship. It would make America first and might just help make America great again.
