The USAF T6 Texan is a version of the Pilatus. Seems to have been really effective for the US. Watching them fly they can wring them out. I’d sure like to fly one, but don’t guess they will share their experience.

That’s what western Canadian’s derisively refer to Toronto Ontario as.

(The photo looks fake, airplane popped on top of stock photo. Does appear to be a lake behind it so not Ottawa where money and contract decisions are made.)

SkyAlyne is a JV of Kelowna Flightcraft and CAE (the simulator people).

KF is a heavy maintenance and modification facility, closely tied to an operator of aircraft used in courier services and sometimes passenger charter service.

The Snowbirds demonstration team is based in Moose Jaw SK.
Besides the Abbotsford Air Show in early August, the Snowbirds can be seen in spring at CFB Comox on Vancouver Island BC, practicing with mountains and big water in their windows (things lacking in Moose Jaw).

Derision wasn’t top of mind. Lived there for a dozen years. Looks like the C.N. tower in downtown with the centre islands behind. The Ottawa environs are mostly lake free (real lakes).
