They don’t do the bikini models at F1 races any more.

This characterization of the incident is not correct. Somebody at the race had strung a wire across the flight path of the Gravity Team member. If you look carefully at the video, you’ll see the wire catches his right foot and hits his left hand enough to bring him down. If you look at this longer version of the incident, you can see the moment when this happens.
