If Mr Pfarr TRULY wants to QUICKLY support grass roots flying and promote UL/LSA as " a wonderfully fun, simple, and affordable way to be engaged in flight " then he and his little ULSAC need to tell the FAA to ignore industry shills Dan Johnson and Roy Beisswenger who have been cramming selfish convoluted requests for SP commercial operation privileges down the FAA’s throat and up its… agenda.
IMHO those two have DELAYED expansion of AVAILABLE SP-eligible legacy certified aircraft to include C150/152, PA-28-140, Colt, Tomahawk, Citabria, L8E&F, and other simple affordable 2 seaters which are SAFER than and 1/6 the price of imported composite SLSA.
Make up a list like that with their Vs, Vh, and gross weight and ask FAA for an immediate one time waiver to allow them under SP.
Put me on that committee and I’ll have a draft motion for review, approval, and sending to FAA OKCity ready tomorrow.
