If Mexico decides to require a 406 MHz ELT also, don’t be surprised that this becomes an ICAO requirement. Then the FAA will require it in the name of “harmonizing” with ICAO regs!

Hey, Hey, Hey, Yars … that’ll cut ME out … all of my pop in tapes are FOUR track! And, I actually have some wire recordings and 78LP’s, too.

If an aircraft in C-eh N-eh D-eh has ADS-B and a 121.5 ELT plus a PLB (plus cell phones) … how much more do they want … a rescue helicopter folded up in your baggage bay ??

Mexico, that’s joke. They’re not going to do anything that would possibly prevent tourist dollars coming their way. This is the place where a bucket it lowered down from the control tower to put the bribe/graft/tip into. “Oh, senior, you have no 406 ELT? better put in some more in the bucket”.
