MOSAIC was supposed to be done in Sept or Oct of 2024; based on Oshkosh Airventure 2024. Or, is this a 2nd MOSAIC? PLUS, LSA certifications standards for small eVTOLs do not exist and are on the ASTM to do list, suggesting 2 years before small eVTOL certification standards are available. And why the Jetson 1 and the Pivotal Helix are ultralights. Though, moving up by adding batteries which of course adds more weight would turn both into light sport aircraft (LSAs) requiring an FAA form 337; and not an ASTM certification standard. An FAA Form 337 seems smarter than anything ASTM; starting from a working and airworthy ultralight. It is probably safe to assume the ASTM writers will use the Jetson 1 and the Pivotal Helix as examples for an LSA ASTM.
