For over 25 years as a CFI and CFII, I learned a lot from John and Martha King videos while helping students earn their wings and move up to advanced certifications and ratings.

I met them twice, once while they were filming at Jacqueline Cochran Airport in Thermal, California, and again during a Cessna program in Baltimore in early 2001. In person, they were just as warm and genuine as they are on camera. Solid role models.

To John and Martha, thank you for helping us become better pilots, instructors, and people. You’ve always been my favorite folks in aviation.

I have the nicest memories, meeting these fine people in San Diego during a Cessna Pilot Center event. John was a hoot during the hastily staged photo-shoot with the two Germans from New England.
